Assam Rifles Spreads Joy and Unity on Mother’s Day in Manipur and Nagaland
In a heartwarming display of community bonding, Assam Rifles celebrated Mother’s Day across various districts in Manipur and Nagaland, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds. The events, held in Tengnoupal, Pallel, Moreh, and Kamjong, saw participation from 220 local women and 90 students from Naga, Meitei, and Kuki communities.
The celebrations focused on empowering women, promoting social harmony, and recognizing the invaluable role of mothers in society. Activities included discussions on healthcare, recreational events, community lunches, and movie screenings, all aimed at strengthening mutual trust and unity.
In Kamjong, Assam Rifles took the opportunity to honour Olina Ningshen, a recent abduction victim who was rescued and rehabilitated by the paramilitary force. The team visited her home, presenting gifts and essentials, and reaffirming their commitment to community care and security.
Similar celebrations took place in Nagaland, with Assam Rifles Public School, Phek, and Assam Rifles High School, Tuensang, hosting events that brought together students, teachers, and parents. The events featured speeches, cultural performances, and fun activities, highlighting the importance of mothers and promoting teamwork and responsibility.
Through these initiatives, Assam Rifles demonstrates its dedication to community engagement, value-based education, and social harmony, spreading joy and unity in the regions they serve.
