South Point Storms into Final with 7-Wicket Thrill

With an easy victory, South Point School has entered the final of the AHJA-Topchem Under-16 Inter-School/Academy Cricket Tournament. In today’s semi-final match of the tournament, which was restricted to four teams this time, South Point School defeated NFRSA Academy by 7 wickets.
Choosing to bat first at the Judge’s Field, Rail Academy wrapped up their innings at just 63 runs in 21 overs. Captain Samir Mahato’s unbeaten 24 runs was the highest score. The remaining 10 players failed to even touch double digits. Aditya Mahato took 3 wickets for 5 runs.
Chasing an easy target, South Point achieved victory in 14.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, supported by Hridoy Das’s 24 runs. The tournament was officially inaugurated by BCCI curator and former cricketer Mukut Kalita.
