RCB Captain Rajat Patidar’s Four-Word Post Goes Viral After Joining Dhoni, Rohit in Elite Captaincy Club

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar has triggered an outpouring of celebration on social media following his team’s second consecutive IPL title victory. RCB successfully defended their crown by securing a clinical five-wicket win over the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, replicating their maiden championship feat from a year prior. With this historic achievement, the 32-year-old skipper from Madhya Pradesh has entered an elite, ultra-exclusive club of leaders in the Indian Premier League. Patidar has become only the third captain in tournament history to secure back-to-back IPL trophies, a rare milestone previously accomplished only by Chennai Super Kings’ MS Dhoni (2010, 2011) and Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma (2019, 2020).

To celebrate the momentous victory, Patidar took to his official social media handles to share his emotions, summarizing the long-awaited golden era of the franchise with a simple, iconic four-word phrase: “Ee Sala Cup Namdu”. Reflecting on the campaign during the post-match interactions, Patidar admitted that dominating the tournament this season provided a much calmer dressing room atmosphere compared to the intense pressure of their breakthrough 2025 run. He attributed the success to distinct role clarity, unwavering backing from the management, and the inspiring presence of veteran batter Virat Kohli, whose unbeaten 75 in the final effectively anchored the successful 156-run chase with two overs to spare.
