Opposition Hails Youth Victory as Akhilesh Yadav Claims Centre Yielded to Student Demands in Parliament

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack against the Narendra Modi administration during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, declaring that the Union government was forced to “bow down to Gen Z’s will” following widespread student demonstrations over examination irregularities and paper leak controversies. Addressing lawmakers and reporters at the Parliament complex, Yadav framed recent administrative concessions and ministerial resignations as a definitive triumph for the country’s younger generation, who took to the streets to demand systemic educational reforms and accountability. Asserting that the sustained mobilization of young citizens exposed the government’s authoritarian approach, the opposition leader claimed that public outrage ultimately compelled the ruling coalition to yield to the nation’s youth.
