Arunachal CM Inspects Construction Progress At The Ancient Tawang Monastery
On Thursday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met with monks from Tawang Monastery, including the Abbot, His Eminence Shedling Tulku Thupten Tendar Rinpoche, to talk about plans for enhancing infrastructure surrounding the monastery. The conference centered on improving parking infrastructure to deal with the growing number of pilgrims and guests. The Chief Minister was joined by MLA Namgey Tsering, former MLA Tsering Tashi, ZPC Leki Gombu, SCITeG Chairperson Nyamar Karbak, Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo, and Superintendent of Police Dr. D.W. Thungon.CM Khandu also looked into the continuing construction of a parking lot and the extension of the monastery’s celebration grounds to cater for future festivities and larger crowds.
