Citroen C3, Basalt & Aircross To Get Upgrades

Citroen India has revealed plans to update its models Basalt, Aircross, and C3 with design tweaks and feature enhancements aimed at boosting sales. Although the exact launch dates remain undisclosed, this move is part of the brand’s ‘2.0 – Shift Into the New’ strategy. The French automaker says the updates will improve both the exterior styling and technology to increase passenger comfort, with changes reportedly guided by customer feedback, though specific details are yet to be shared.

The Citroen Basalt, priced from Rs 8.32 lakh (ex-showroom), is one of the few affordable coupe-SUVs in India, available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine offered with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The Aircross, starting at Rs 8.62 lakh, targets a different segment, while the C3 is the smallest and most budget-friendly model, priced from Rs 6.23 lakh. Citroen plans to expand its retail and service network from 80 to 150 locations by the end of 2025, focusing on tier two to four cities.
