Farah Khan Recalls Akshaye Khanna’s Difficult On-Set Behaviour During Tees Maar Khan

Director Farah Khan has candidly revisited the challenges of working with Akshaye Khanna on the sets of the 2010 film Tees Maar Khan, describing him as a “not very nice person” during that period. In a recent interview, she revealed that the actor was frequently irritable and difficult to manage, attributing his mood swings to his anxiety over premature hair loss. Farah noted that his preoccupation with his thinning hair and the technicalities of his hairpiece often led to friction on set, making the filming process more strenuous for the crew and his co-stars.

Despite the personal friction, Farah acknowledged Akshaye’s immense talent and the unique energy he brought to his character, which eventually became one of the film’s highlights. She explained that while his behavior was a hurdle at the time, she now looks back at the situation with a more humorous perspective, understanding the pressures actors face regarding their physical appearance. The filmmaker’s comments have sparked a conversation online about the intersection of vanity and professionalism in the high-pressure environment of a Bollywood film set.
