Prakash Raj Slams Fake News Reports of His Exit from Prabhas-Starrer Spirit

Veteran actor Prakash Raj has officially dismissed rumors claiming he was removed from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming action drama, Spirit, starring Prabhas. Reports had circulated suggesting a “heated argument” occurred on set between Raj and the director over script execution and creative differences, leading to his departure. Taking to social media to set the record straight, the National Award-winning actor labeled the claims as “nonsense speculation” and “toxic fake news,” clarifying that he hasn’t even begun filming his scenes for the project yet.

The highly anticipated film, which features Prabhas as a dedicated police officer, has already seen significant buzz and earlier casting shifts, including Triptii Dimri reportedly replacing Deepika Padukone. Despite the viral rumors of a fallout, production sources confirm that Prakash Raj remains a key part of the ensemble cast alongside Vivek Oberoi. Spirit is currently being filmed in Hyderabad and is slated for a grand pan-India release on March 5, 2027.
