Maintaining their streak of easy wins in the first matches of the group league, both the Indian men’s and women’s teams have continued their dominant form. India’s star women players, namely Manika Batra, Sutirtha Mukherjee, and Syndrella Das, defeated their opponents with a clinical 3-0 margin. India’s next opponents are Ukraine and Rwanda.
On the other hand, the men’s team—comprising Manav Thakkar, Manush Shah, and Harmeet Desai—defeated Tunisia with a 3-0 scoreline. India’s upcoming matches are against Slovakia and Guatemala. India will need to emerge as group champions to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
