Inter-School Volleyball Begins

On the occasion of celebrating the silver jubilee year of the Guwahati Volleyball Training Center, an Under-17 inter-school volleyball tournament for both boys and girls has been organized from May 16 to May 31 at the Guwahati Volleyball Training Center ground.
In the first girls’ match, Army Public School, Narengi defeated SDA School by 2–1 sets. In the second match, Narengi Higher Secondary School defeated Kaziranga English Academy by 2–1 sets. Kaziranga English Academy defeated South Point, Barsapara by 2–0 sets.
On the other hand, in the boys’ section, Army School, Basistha defeated Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri by 2–1 sets.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Sandhya Sarma Borah, a former national-level veteran volleyball player. Former national-level veteran volleyball player Ambha Saikia Patgiri, Meena Bhattacharya, Deepak Ohja, Bonmoni Borkotoky, and Pradip Kumar Sarma, the General Secretary of the Guwahati Volleyball Training Center, along with other prominent personalities, were present at the event.
