Eleven Star Club Edges Jorhat Town 4-2 in U-17 Youth League Thriller with Madhurjya Kumar Brace

In the second match of the main round of the Under-17 Youth Football League, organized under the supervision of the Assam Football Association, Jorhat Town Club suffered their second consecutive defeat on their home ground. In today’s highly intense match, Bongaigaon’s Eleven Star Club defeated Jorhat Town Club by a margin of 4-2 goals, riding on a brace by Madhurjya Kumar.
Amidst fierce competition between both teams from the very beginning, Town Club’s Nibir Gogoi scored a goal in the 22nd minute of the first half to give his team a 1-0 lead. However, in the 43rd minute of the match, Eleven Star Club’s Madhurjya Kumar scored to equalizer. In the 52nd minute, Town Club’s Nihal Rai scored a goal to put his team ahead 2-1. Just three minutes later, in the 55th minute of the match, Eleven Star’s Subungchar Basumatary breached Town Club’s defense to bring the score level at 2-2.
Later, Kamchemlal Vaiphei of Eleven Star Club scored a goal in the 87th minute to secure the victory, and during injury time, Madhurjya Kumar scored his personal second goal to play a key role in sealing the win.
