Assam Flood Victims to Receive Free Replacement Academic Documents from ASSEB

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced a special relief measure for students affected by the recent floods in four districts of the state. The board will issue duplicate copies of important academic documents free of cost to students from Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts who lost their records in the flood.

The relief initiative covers duplicate pass certificates, admit cards, marksheets and registration cards related to the HSLC/AHM and Higher Secondary Final Examinations. The move aims to support students whose educational documents were damaged or washed away during the natural disaster.

According to an official notification issued by ASSEB, affected students can apply online through the board’s designated portals. Students requiring duplicate HSLC/AHM documents can submit their applications through the SEBA Services portal, while Higher Secondary students can apply through the AHSEC portal.

To make the process easier for flood-affected students, ASSEB has also relaxed the documentation requirements. The mandatory submission of a police report has been waived, and applicants will only need to upload a self-declaration confirming that their academic documents were lost due to the floods.

The initiative is expected to provide timely assistance to students and help them continue their academic activities without facing difficulties due to the loss of essential educational records.
