Cooper Connolly Smashes Records Youngest Overseas Player to Score IPL Century at 22

Despite a weak performance by his team, Cooper Connolly has grabbed everyone’s attention. The Australian star playing for Punjab Kings played a century innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad yesterday. With this innings, he has set a new record in the IPL.
Connolly has become the youngest overseas player to complete a century in the IPL. As of yesterday’s match, the player was 22 years and 257 days old. By achieving this, Connolly broke the long-standing record held by Quinton de Kock.
In 2016, playing for Delhi against RCB, De Kock scored a century at the age of 23 years and 122 days. Until now, that was the record for the youngest overseas player to score a century in the IPL. Connolly surpassed that record yesterday.
