Rahul Gandhi Needs Immediate Mental Health Treatment: Assam BJP MLA

The name of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should now be changed to ‘Rahul Frustrated Gandhi’. This remark was made by BJP MLA Diplu Ranjan Sarma. Attacking Rahul Gandhi’s speech at a meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc, the MLA gave this aggressive reaction before the media on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, MLA Sarma said, “His name should now be ‘Rahul Frustrated Gandhi’. Nowadays whenever he holds a public meeting, it seems his mental state is not right. He needs immediate mental health treatment.”

The BJP MLA claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s public speeches have been electorally helping the ruling BJP. He further said, “He is actually an asset for the BJP; the more people listen to him, the more likely they are to vote for the BJP.”

Separately, the MLA also commented on the BJP’s state core committee meeting. Describing the meeting as a regular organizational process of the party held every one-two months, he said that the last three months’ programs and the party’s organizational strength will be reviewed along with discussion on political strategy for the coming days.

Mentioning that the results of the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency and Silchar Municipal elections will also be reviewed in the meeting, Sarma said that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other senior leaders will provide guidance regarding the party programs for the next three months.
