72nd All Assam Marathon: Titeswar Kurmi First in Men’s, Budhen Agarbati Tops Women’s

Organized by the Sadoi Mangaldoi Rongali Bihu Sanmilan, the 72nd annual All Assam Marathon competition was held today. In the men’s category, Golaghat’s Titeswar Kurmi and Kandeshwar Dekar achieved top honors.
The marathon was flagged off at 5:00 AM today from the Shiva Temple premises in Sipajhar by physical instructor Deveswar Baruah. Titeswar Kurmi secured the first position in this competition by completing the race in 20 minutes. He was awarded a cash prize of ₹12,001 and a commemorative trophy.

In the veteran category, Kandeshwar Dekar secured the first position. In the women’s category, Budhen Agarbati won first place (₹3,001 + Trophy), Hamidul Islam won second place (₹2,001 + Trophy), and Ganesh Chandra Nath secured the third position (₹1,501).
