Infantino: Iran ‘Will Definitely Come to Play’ World Cup in America

Whether Iran will play in the FIFA World Cup football tournament amidst the ongoing conflict with the USA and Israel remains uncertain. However, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is confident that Iran will participate in the World Cup to be held in America.
According to him, Iran has rightfully secured their ticket to the competition and they should play in the mega-event. In an interview, Infantino stated:
“Iran will definitely come to play. I hope they will be able to play their matches in a very peaceful environment. Footballers are representatives of their countrymen. They have qualified for the World Cup.”
At this moment, a ceasefire is in place between Iran and the USA-Israel alliance, but the tensions have not been fully extinguished. The Iranian government is still committed to the possibility of not playing in the World Cup. However, if the situation remains calm in the coming days, there is a possibility that the decision may change.
