Abhinaya Theatre Starts Daily Acting Sessions; Final Play by Participants
Acting classes for young and emerging artists will begin at Abhinaya Theatre from today.
Abhinaya Theatre, a renowned cultural institution of Dibrugarh, has been organizing various theatre-related activities for several years to develop skilled artists in Assam. As part of this, a special month-long acting workshop is being conducted from today.
Theatre personalities Atanu Bhuyan, Mriganka Borkakati, and others will provide training in acting, voice modulation, body language, stage craft and deportment. The classes will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of theatre.
Abhinaya Theatre has already earned a name in the state through its stage productions and street plays. The institution has produced many artists who are now active in theatre, television and films across Assam.
Interested candidates from Dibrugarh and nearby areas have enrolled for the workshop. Classes will be held every day from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Abhinaya Theatre premises. The workshop will conclude with a stage performance by the participants.
