The Gatroni Ply Jorhat Asian Junior Under-16 Ranking Tennis Tournament
organized by the Jorhat Tennis Club under the supervision of the Asian Tennis Federation, continued into its third day today.
On this third day, Vaidehi Shinde caused an upset to secure her place in the final, while other seeded players also progressed in their respective categories.
Girls’ Under-16 Singles (Semi-finals) Maharashtra’s 6th seed Vaidehi Shinde defeated Odisha’s 4th seed Sanjana Das. Nisha Injai secured her spot in the final by defeating Shaurya Patil with a score of 6-0, 6-1. Boys’ Under-16 Singles (Semi-finals) Ayaan Changale defeated Ishan Jaglan 6-4, 2-0 (retired). Nibras Hussain entered the final by defeating Atharv Anand 7-5, 6-4. Boys’ Under-16 Chandogya Pathak def. Bansal Chabrani 5-3 (retired); Aditya Kamat def.
