Drugs worth over Rs 36 cr destroyed in Nagaland

Nagaland police today carried out the disposal of seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs (NDPS) worth over Rs 36.57 crore at a dumping site in Kohima.
Superintendent of Police and Member Drug Disposal Committee for State Level Police Stations, Poolicharla Ramanaiah, said that the Drug Disposal Committee has approved the disposal and destruction of NDPS including 8 kgs heroin, 31 kgs opium, and 370 kgs ganja.
The operation was carried out following court orders issued under the NDPS Act, he said.
