Affordable Healthcare Meets Tech: ₹10 OPD and WhatsApp Prescriptions Coming to Rural Tripura
A new rural outreach initiative titled ‘Digital Antyodaya Yatra’ will launch at Tripura Santiniketan Medical College in Madhuban, Ranikhamar, on September 25 at 9:00 AM, aimed at making digital healthcare and essential government services accessible to local communities. Under this initiative, ‘Digital AI Maa Seva Kendras’ will be set up and operated by trained local women, assisting villagers in navigating digital health platforms like Ayushman Bharat and e-Shram. To make healthcare affordable, the center will allow residents to consult doctors for a nominal fee of ₹10 and receive prescriptions directly via WhatsApp. Formally inaugurated by Ullas Kulkarni alongside distinguished guest Malay Peet, the center operates under the motto “People before identity, service before publicity,” inviting the public to utilize its technology-enabled community services.
